Coiled Cartridge Heater

Coiled Cartridge Heaters
Redcoil mini nozzle band and coiled cartridge heaters are designed for high-performance heating in compact spaces. Engineered with advanced heating alloys and flexible coil construction, they provide high watt density, rapid heat response, and reliable operation in demanding industrial applications.
Redcoil mini nozzle band and coiled cartridge heaters are specialized heating solutions designed for applications requiring precise heat control in confined or difficult-to-reach areas. These heaters are widely used in high-performance industrial processes where compact size, flexibility, and efficient heat transfer are essential.
The performance and durability of these heaters depend greatly on the selection of the heating element material and overall design. Key operational factors such as maximum operating temperature, time at peak temperature, and the number and speed of heating cycles must be carefully considered to ensure optimal performance and long service life.
To maintain stable heating performance and consistent heat flux, the heating element materials used in Redcoil heaters are selected for their very low temperature coefficient of resistivity. This characteristic helps minimize resistance variations as temperature changes, ensuring reliable control and consistent heat output. These elements are also stabilized with specialized chemical additives that inhibit grain growth and maintain structural integrity at high temperatures.
High-performance heating alloys such as Nichrome, Tophet, Chromel, and Kanthal are commonly used because of their excellent temperature stability and durability. Certain nickel-based alloys such as Inconel, Hastelloy, and copper-nickel alloys also provide similar benefits. Pure metals are generally avoided because they have higher temperature coefficients of resistivity, which can cause large resistance variations and disrupt heat control.
AKINSUN application engineers are available to assist in selecting the correct heater design, material, and configuration to match specific operational requirements.
