Cartridge Heaters-Redrod

REDROD™ High Watt Density Cartridge Heaters
AKINSUN REDROD™ “R” Series cartridge heaters are high watt density heating elements designed for demanding industrial applications. Built with premium materials and precision manufacturing, they deliver reliable performance, uniform heating, and long service life.
AKINSUN REDROD™ “R” Series high watt density cartridge heaters are engineered to meet the highest industry standards for industrial heating performance. These heaters are designed using premium materials and advanced manufacturing techniques to ensure reliable operation in high-temperature and demanding environments.
Strict manufacturing controls allow REDROD™ cartridge heaters to maintain consistent internal construction and uniform surface temperatures. This precise design helps prevent overheating and ensures efficient heat transfer to the surrounding material or equipment. Even at elevated operating temperatures, these heaters provide excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion, extending their operational lifespan.
The “R” Series cartridge heaters are specifically designed for applications that require higher watt densities and reliable performance under severe operating conditions. Their rugged, heavy-duty construction offers excellent durability, making them ideal for use in harsh industrial environments where heaters are exposed to shock, vibration, and mechanical stress.
Additionally, the robust design provides high dielectric strength, ensuring safe and stable electrical performance even in demanding conditions. This combination of strength, efficiency, and reliability makes AKINSUN REDROD™ cartridge heaters a dependable solution for industrial processes that require consistent, high-intensity heating.
1. Incoloy or Stainless Steel Sheath
The heater uses selected heavy-wall Incoloy or stainless steel tubing that provides excellent heat transfer and high compaction strength. This corrosion-resistant sheath protects the internal heating elements and ensures durability in high-temperature environments.
2. Lava Cap
A high-density ceramic lava cap secures the magnesium oxide insulation in place. It acts as an insulating barrier between the electrical pin and the sheath while also helping protect the heater from contamination.
3. Lead Wires
Flexible, non-asbestos fiberglass insulated leads are mechanically crimp-connected to ensure secure electrical connections and reliable performance under high temperatures.
4. Swaging Process
Maximum swaging is used during manufacturing to reduce the cross-sectional area and tightly compact the internal components. This process improves heat conduction and allows the heater to operate efficiently at higher watt densities.
5. Precision Centering
Magnesium oxide (MgO) spacers precisely center the wire-wound heating core inside the sheath. This prevents the formation of hot spots and ensures uniform heat distribution across the heater surface.
