MgO Insulated Thermocouples

AKINSUN MgO sheathed thermocouple assemblies are precision temperature sensing devices designed for high-performance industrial applications. Each assembly consists of a thermocouple element embedded in tightly packed high-purity (99.4%) magnesium oxide (MgO) mineral insulation, enclosed within a durable metal sheath. This construction provides excellent electrical insulation, superior heat transfer, and long-term reliability even in harsh operating conditions.

The thermocouple sheaths are fully annealed, allowing them to be easily formed into a variety of configurations. They can be bent to a radius as small as twice the diameter of the outer sheath, making them highly adaptable for installation in complex or confined spaces. The rugged construction ensures accurate temperature measurement while maintaining resistance to mechanical stress, corrosion, and vibration.

AKINSUN thermocouples are available in both base metal and noble metal configurations, allowing them to be used across a wide range of temperature measurement applications.

1. E – Exposed Junction
   Provides the fastest temperature response.

2. UG – Ungrounded Junction
   Electrically isolated junction for improved noise resistance.

3. G – Grounded Junction
   Connected to the sheath cap for faster response.

4. DG / DUG – Duck Bill Junction
   Flattened design suitable for welding directly onto surfaces.

5. S – Butting Junction
   Used for gradient temperature measurements.

6. FG / FUG – High Response Surface Junction
   Provides excellent surface contact and quick response.

7. NG / NUG – Neckdown Junction
   Designed for high response in narrow holes or grooves.
